My trip out west was awesome, got to go to the colorado ren faire. Paid a visit to the stanley hotel. Its the hotel that inspired steven king to write the shining. Sorry to say the ghost tour was uneventfull.
Went camping in wyoming on my friends land, we all were sunburnt to one degree or the other.
Having a good camp cook is essential,, luckily we had one lol. Got to fire off some rounds of my friends springfied xd 45. nice gun. Getting used to the thin air wasnt easy. But the mountains was awesome.
Went up to a place called bear lake, it was still half frozen over. There were 6ft and higher snow drifts over parts of the trail that went around the lake. And it was t-shirt weather. My habbit of wearing boots everywhere i go came in handy lol. The drive up wasnt too bad, I got a little lost in both kansas city and st louis, thank you road construction and bad detour signs. Luckily I timed it so that I came through these places at times when they were dead 3am and 7am on a sunday morning makes the drive a bit easier. I left Tn at around 8 or 9 made it to denver by about 3pm the next day. Not too shabby.
The return trip sucked! Less than a hundred miles into kansas i roll into a storm front. The clouds stay with me all the way to kentucky. Pourning rain, nearly struck by lightning, had to slow to 40 in a 70 for at least a couple hours. All in all, it was an adventure.
Looking forward to next year
