About the back... I know a fabulous massage therapist in the 'Boro. I get wicked tension headaches and tore my back earlier this year with a kiddie. She was a total life saver.
About the puppy. Get a ticking clock, wrap it in a blanket and stick it in bed with it. Those are super sweet lap dogs but they gotta be taken outside a lot when they're little. The poor thing probably had to go poop before you even brought it to bed

Training of any sort in replace of work is always an enjoyable intermission in what can be a pain in the ass routine. I always look forward to workshops instead of heading into the classroom for the day.
