The spontaneous nights out usually work out as the best ones. Drop everything and head off to the pub always works for me Glad you had a laugh out in anycase.
Olsens is one of my favourite bars, good atmosphere and decor in there. Plus lots of odd drinks to try.

I've never had a mouse before, gerbils and hamsters when I was a kid but no mousies. I can imagine how long it would take to clean 13 feet of tubes. My old gerbil only had about 2 feet of tubing to run through, but then it was on my pocket money (1 quid a week at the time in 1983) I remember my old dog was fascinated by the gerbil, especially when the gerbil was loose in the room in its plastic ball.
