Hey everyone. I'm back.
Not long ago I bumped into one of my old primary school teachers. This woman taught me when I was around 4 or 5 I think, and with it being over 15 years ago I have very little recollection of that time in my life. We had a brief conversation in passing and she mentioned something about when I was a kid and how much I loved writing. Apparently I would flat-out refuse to just play with Lego or run around outside with the other snot-nosed little bastards, instead choosing to just write stories.
It got me thinking and I can't pinpoint a time in my life where that just sort of stopped. I remember writing stuff for English homework etc but never really did unless I was told to. The more and more I think about it, the more I think I should maybe give it another go or something. If writing gave me so much joy back when I was about 5 then maybe I could find it rewarding now, although by that logic I should also run out and buy a shitload of Anglo Bubblys or Turtles figures. Who knows, maybe I'll take a stab at it. There's no real ambition behind it, no lofty goal that I think could keep me in good stead financially; just the desire to see if I can do it.
Or, the much more likely scenario is that I come home from work today, watch my new Rise Against DVD and play some Gears of War...all while stuffing my face full of incredibly unhealthy processed shite. Either way I figure i'm happy.
