So far this week is going really well and I'm in an awesome mood. Knowing me, something horrendous will happen by the weekend but so far its all good.
For the first time since graduating university over a year ago I've actually got a job interview. Normally anywhere I apply to just replies with a template email which is basically a more kindly worded "Fuck you, Mr.No Experience!" Infact this is the first job I've applied for since uni that I've gotten to the interview stage for. Nothing overly fancy, sales executive for Total Fitness, using special offers and stuff to convince people to join the gym. Its about 10k a year more than I get in my crappy supermarket job and it may actually lead somewhere one day.
I just hope the fact that I'm horrendously out of shape wont make any difference. I know i can easily do the job, but will they think the same thing when Captain Atrophy walks into the interview?
I've also finally got around to trying to sort out my TV. I have a repair monkey coming out tomorrow for a moderately reasonable price. Basically something's fucked in the front panel so the remote wont work and neither will the power button. I've been switching it on/off using the mains. It was just annoying not being able to put it on AV and therefore having my 360 downstairs, waiting for everyone to clear the living room before I could play on it like some kind of child.
Only 8 more days till the comedy stylings of Mitchell and Webb in Llandudno. I scored tickets for the 2nd row
It also occured to me that as much as I love Spider-Man, and that I have a Spider-Man tattoo, I've never actually read that much of it outside of Bendis' Ultimate title. Pretty much all my knowledge of the Spider-Man universe comes pretty much from being an internet nerd. With this in mind I'm currently in reprint town; enjoying the hell out of Essential Spider-Man Vol.1
Hope everyone is cool. Have a good week
