Woohoo, only 4 more shifts until my 2 week long holiday from work. Over the past few days they've been begging me - literally begging in the hope that I'll work a few shifts during the fortnight. At first I thought i may aswell, its not like I'll be doing anything overly important and I could use the extra cash cos they stiff me on holiday pay. Then i figured - fuck 'em. If they're really THAT desperate then they deserve it. Let them see what its like without me there to do all the hours nobody else will. I'm hoping that when I go up there shopping or something it'll be like "It's A Wonderful Life" and everybody will be really miserable and struggling. That'll learn em.
Here's the plan for next week, a lot more activity than I had actually expected:
Sunday Flintshire Freeze vs Newcastle Vipers. ENL Ice Hockey that would be rubbish if it cost anything more than 4. Makes a change that I can actually make it to a game now, since they've been moving faceoff times so Manchester can borrow their rink.
Monday AFI live in Manchester. Will probably involve a slight amount of bitterness and possibly screaming at some annoying child "Fuck you, I liked them before Girls Not Grey!"
Tuesday Geeky geeky Spider-Man tattoo. Booked my appointment earlier on today for 1pm so I can just crawl outta bed after AFI and drive over.
Wednesday The Bronx live in Manchester. Probably involving a lot of standing at the back and not getting too active lest somebody smack my tattoo and I cry like a little girl. Roadhouse is a tiny venue so will probably end up coated in sweat.
Thursday & Friday 48 hour movie/xbox/hockey/sleep/SG/wank-a-thon. Nothing planned I'm in for some extreeeeeme relaxation.
Saturday SGUK Leeds Meet. Getting up at some ungodly hour like 8am and sitting on a train for 3 hours. 3 hours!!?? Why does it take the same time to get to Leeds as it does to get to London? Fucking changeovers! Spend the day trying to hold back my creepiness and reminding myself that being a major lightweight means its a bad idea to start drinking at noon.
Thats about it. Its weird how excited I am about this week, now all I have to do is survive the next 4 crap-filled workdays
