I've been busy and haven't been on here much. Although to be honest, despite frequent attempts to return to being so, I have not been at all active here as all this year. I've found my new Monday night regular, Dirty Gerund's Poetry Night at Ralph's. Now despite being owned by the owner of my second home Vincent's, Ralph's is not a place I enjoy being usually. Normally I find Ralph's to be full of people who try much to hard to be different and alternative that they just come off as douches. Monday nights, the night the poetry things takes places, seems to be different. Only about a dozen and a half people show up and everyone is super chilled out. I went for date of sorts to this, my first time going, two weeks ago and enjoyed it very much. I however stayed mostly sober as getting drunk(ish) on your first night hanging out with someone is never the best idea (I think?). Anyways, last night I dragged a friend and after a few drinks and a bit of smoke got a better vibe for people there and talked a bit to some and it was amazing.
Went to the Cape this weekend with my dad, uncle, cousin, and our favorite drunk for "guys weekend". Which meant we drank from 9am-midnight and built a fence and tiled a house. Both projects came out awesome. Their was of course also lots of cribbage, barbecuing, a bit of fishing, and a trip to the strip club (which shares my name). Great weekend.
Looking to switch jobs soon. I notice more and more the giant difference in my mood on days I work and days I don't. This job is burning me out. I'll stick with it for a while if I need to but I'm casually looking for employment elsewhere.
My current favorite word is "ethereal". I don't know why. It's a beautiful word and greatly describes my current taste regarding homo sapiens of the female persuasion.
I'm getting pretty close with the older of my two younger sister. She's still a cunt but as she's getting a bit older we're both seeing how much we have in common. It's nice, I get a refreshing and younger perspective on my dilemmas and she gets the perspective of someone with a bit more experience who won't talk and get her in trouble.
So yes, life is good. Unplanned fun is coming from everywhere.
I can't but have this song stuck in my head all the time. It's such a catchy summer song. A bit of a guilty pleasure I suppose.
