i want to write. i just don't know what to write about. well here goes. sometimes i feel like kurt vonnegut is inside my head narrating my life. i like that thought. he knew truths about this world most people can't even begin to comprehend. i wish i had known him. i'd like to sit with him and be grumpy and hear awesome stories.
today was a great day. the type of day i haven't had in a while. well it did start off pretty typical. i woke up and went to breakfast with my grampa and got my usual veggie wrap. i then went to the gym did my regular lifting and 10 miles on the stationary bike while i read. got home, showered, and called my friend jeff. and here is where the awesomeness begins. i recently, upon deciding to stick with my current job (and therefore life), decided i could smoke again... although i don't plan to on a regular basis. so me and jeff decided to go walk around the quabin reservoir high. we did, it was beautiful. the sun was so warm. the view was gorgeous. and i was feeling good. we then decided to go to a steak house for late lunch. now we all know i'm not typically much of a meat person, and if it weren't for my love for sausage and pork i would likely be a vegetarian. i do however occasionally enjoy a great cut of meat. and holy shit did i enjoy the most amazing steak. then, after a bit more smoke, we decided to see alice in wonderland. another fabulous decision.
at home tonight i then made another fabulous decision and that was to read another vonnegut book. vonnegut is by far my favorite author and luckily wrote a few handfuls of book. now contrary to what would come naturally i only read a few of his books a year. in an attempt to make them last longer and be more special. i have read most all of them (in some cases a bunch of times, the only books i can read over and over) but today started timequake for the first time, and i'm pretty pumped.
also this weekend i fixed up my bicycle. it's nothing special, actually to anyone but me it's probably a piece of shit. it's special to me. first of all it's the first bike i've had that is actually built for someone over 6 feet tall. secondly, it was bought on craigslist in dc and was how i got around down there. i dunno, it's one of those things i can't explain. anyways i cleaned it up, put on some new pedals, inflated the tires, lubed the chain, etc.
so yes, life is good.

signalnoise:
Vonnegut is one of my favorite authors. And steak is never, ever wrong.
