Well shit, Dems lost the House majority, but keep the Senate majority, I think that turned out better than I thought it would, so that's nice right there. As nice as it can be anyways.
Luckily not all of the Tea Party candidates got elected, although Rand Paul did, and he comes across as kind of racist crazy in some of his speeches and talking points so I don't know about that. Although if he sticks to his word he will wind up fucking with both parties so that's going to be interesting.
The bad thing about it is Boehner can keep saying that he is listening to the American people since they won a bunch of elections and got a shift in power. The only thing about that is there is no clear cut majority for either party, so if he is going to "listen to the American people" like he says he will, well then that means he has to compromise, almost half the time because that's what we want.
I might be getting rid of some facebook friends because seeing what they right makes my blood boil and I don't know that I want my blood boiling right now, although it keeps the brain working which is nice in it's own way. I am slowly trying to figure out if the Dems should become the party of no now since it worked so well for the Reps this last time. At the same time I am thinking that in a couple years this could possibly be a good thing for the Dems and Obama, when people see that there is more of the same going on in D.C. and that the last bit of change didn't help, perhaps they will go back to the voter booth and get us back to where we should be. IMHO
I don't know, I'm mixed on the results as I knew this was coming, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it could be, silver lining I guess.

But yes, I am very excited, there has been a lot of screenings of the film here in LA which is pretty awesome.
