Today is a pretty good day all said.
Today my University of Montana Grizzlies played Appalachian State to see who would face Villanova next Friday for the national championship in the FCS division. It was one hell of a game that found us with a 7 point lead with 1:30 to go. App State made one hell of a run at the tie but came up short, and I am finding myself wishing I was back in Missoula because it would be fun to be in Zoo town right now, I bet the bar's are rocking. So next Friday is going to be a good day to watch some college football.
I am following the game up with It's a Wonderful Life on the TV and checking up on my UND Fighting Sioux hockey team who is taking on the Wisconsin Badgers. I do love hockey season, at least on the college level, I don't really have a professional team, I just like seeing how former UND players are doing in the pros.
Cowboys are playing the Chargers tomorrow and they need to play better than they did last week against the Giant's, especially if they are going to keep the lead in the NFC East, and keep the playoff hopes alive and kicking. Judging by the game the Charger's played against the Browns last week I think we have a chance, more of a chance the so called experts are saying we do anyway.
That's my life in sports now I suppose. I am finally catching up on my comics, I have had a couple stacks here for a while now so it's nice to start reading through them and see what greatness I have been missing out on. I have come to the conclusion that Morrison should almost never work with anyone other than Quitely, their work on Batman and Robin is as fun to read as it is breath-taking. The lead up to Blackest Night has been fantastic to read and go through, I love Geoff John's work and Tomasi and Gleason's work on the GL Corps has been great as well. It is so damned apparent that I am all about the DC Universe, I have respect for the Marvel Universe and read some great books over there too, but I will always be a big time DC fan and one of the biggest Batman fan's you will ever meet.
That damned Gap commercial with the little kids could be the one thing that might actually kick my biological clock into motion if there is anything at all that would do it. Those little girls are some of the cutest kids you will ever see, and apparently you get a bunch of em doing little cheers and whatnot and I will be enthralled and all of that. Whoda thunk it.
So what else can I go over, life is pretty good, just figuring out a thing or two as I go along. I have started to piece together a plan for the future for me, and all things considered I think I am well on my way, now as long as it doesn't turn into a "Big Daddy" five year plan, I will be fine.

It was cool about SI. We are basketball national champions (ACC) many times over so the SI cares. Sort of. Ah, well - it brings in revenue! .
