And a very happy friday to all you lovely people out there!
So I got my faced stitched up and am well on my way to being drop dead gorgeous again! The stitches come out on Tuesday, and I'm looking forward to recreating the scene from Batman (You know the one )
Good news from work (which never happens) a week on Monday, I'm off to work in Ireland for three days! The only real thing I can see interrupting my enjoyment is (Other than having to work) I absolutely despise Guinness But I'm sure there are many fine local ales to sample.
Ok, a question for you. I recently received an incentive thingy from work totalling to 125 (Or $219 to my colonial chums ) but it's not cash it's in the form of shopping vouchers only available to spend at selected places. One of these is a moderately large electrical goods supplier, I've been thinking either a digital camera or an mp3 player. But, and here's the thing, I don't really take enough photos to warrant a new digital camera, and I already have a NetMD player (which although is not as good as a large capacity mp3 player, it's ample for my needs). Other than that, I could buy a load of CDs and DVDs, or some clothing at one or other of my high street emporia (but they cater mainly to townies and pikeys). Now, I hate aimlessly shopping, when I shop, I like to know what I want, and where to get it. So what I'd like to ask you, is, if you had that amount of money you had to spend in humdrum, generic shopping outlets, what would you buy?
Oh there is the option of a bookstore too, but remember only popular editions of books and music, I'm terribly impatient, and as a matter of principle will not order anything from a shop that will take more than 10 minutes to get.
(Now, could I have asked a simple question in a more long winded way? )
Anyway. This week, I've been mainly listening to:
Weezer - Pinkerton
Tom Waits - Real Gone
Machine Head - The first three albums
Flogging Molly - Within a mile of home
Blistering radio - the cheesiest heavy metal radio station I've ever heard!
I watched Bubba Ho-Tep again (it gets better with every viewing)
I've also read 2010 by Arthur C Clarke and am re reading Monkey by Wu Ch'eng En
Have yourselves the greatest ever weekend, I'll be sober, due to the antibiotics, but I hope you'll all raise a glass for me at least once this weekend

That's what makes your desirable... too bad you're too far away
Don't spend it all in Threshers, it'll be a waste of 35, you could always keep it til something jumps out at you....... or get Dead man. Do you need a printer, or anything for the kitchen???
