It's been an OK week up to now. Work was a bit odd though, working the night of the full moon got me speaking to some interesting characters (For "interesting" read " cuuuhuuuuraaaaazy"), but did finish it off with an impromptu trip to the estuary, which was really nice, but I had no idea that sea birds complained so much about a full moon, it was about 3am, and the air was thick with their cries. It was quite magical.
I've spent the last couple of days being sensible. All my ironing is done, I have done all my washing, changed the bedcovers, done my dutiful thing of meeting up with a friend to wish her a happy birthday. And now the madness can commence. Of to Pompey in a few hours to watch Munch and his fellow band mates give the area a dose of punk. Will be meeting up with some folks I've not seen for way too long too.
I've also found that I've been kind of regressing mentally. I swear that my mental age has hit about 14. All of a sudden, I'm all about the metal. To demonstrate, I'm listening to The number of the beast, I've not actively listened to that album since before I moved out of my mum's house back when I was 15. The Prisoner has just come on now, so I just need to play air guitar and bang my head for a bit. Do excuse me.
Thanks for bearing with me for that one.
Booked my time off for download, and although it is still a good 5 months away, I'm getting childishly excited about it.
I might play with my Viking Lego now while I wait to leave to catch the train.
Ooh, Number of the beast - "Oh, woe to you, of Earth and Sea...."
