Well, I don't know what happened with that last entry, so apologies for that!
Well, my time off is winding up, and it's taken it's toll. I'm not feeling too well. a week of sleeping in cold damp rooms, not eating and spending Friday night trying to sleep in the driver's seat of my van have led to me getting some kind of chesty thing. It's not fun, but well, I'm sure I'll cope.
It has been quite good to get away from things for a bit, but it's also been a bit of a trial. Tiime on my own has kind of allowed me to get my head straight about a few things. Now I find myself occupying headspace that I've not been in for a few years, which is by no means a bad thing, but I wonder if it's a good thing too, I've been putting a lot of effort into moving forward, so I do feel like I may have taken a couple of steps back. On the flip side, time on my own has also been... well, I'm not entirely sure how to describe it, lonely? That's as good a word as any I suppose. It's hard to get up enthusiasm to do things when there's just you, my last holidays have been spent with other people, and it's easier to get into stuff when there's someone to rebound enthusiasm off. That was my biggest misgiving about going away, but I was able to slap myself down enough to get out and do things. It was good to catch up with some old friends, not so great with some others. I met some new people, a couple from the site (Which was a great privilege - See you again soon) and ended up doing a very stupid thing, but we live and learn don't we? I got more ink, which is always good, but I don't think I'll be going back to Brighton again in the near future.
Friday was spent getting very stressed out attempting to get to a wedding of two very close friends (Who I just happened to introduce to each other, which is nice), The plan was to swing round to someone's house, pick them up and the cake they'd made for the wedding, and get there for half twelve, what actually happened was that the cake had collapsed overnight, so I got round and had to help with the construction of a new one, then get lost on the way to the venue, miss the ceremony, deliver the cake just in the nick of time, then have to race back, pick up something the other guy had forgot, then make it back just in time for the second course of the meal. Stress.
And today is going to be spent feeling rough in bed watching TV shows and movies. Sorry for lack of commenting in the last week, but I've had to share a computer with the road crew for a band called Aiden, who swarmed over the computer as soon as they saw it! And te internet has been unusably slow when I got back, seems to be better now, so fingers crossed it'll stay that way.
But anyway, I thought I'd finish this of with a few pictures of the goings on I've been party too.
