I've got those end of holiday blues.
Back to work tomorrow, which means leaving for Bristol at 6am, working there until about 5 then driving straight from Bristol to Falmouth, about 180 miles away! Work in Falmouth for 2 days then I get to go home. Oh god I love this job.
In other news, I've found another Bird's nest in the back garden, the family of Blackbirds have moved out and there is now a female Thrush sitting steadfastly in her nest, refusing to move even when confronted with a camera phone at close range.
Who needs springwatch? I've got it all going on in my back garden!
Holiday job hunting was a bit of a bust, but at least I've started to make an effort, my CV is now updated, and looking rather spanking thanks to a friend of mine, and I'm just going to start throwing it at anyone. I'm even thinking the unthinkable - Going back to chefing as a stop gap. Which goes to show exactly how desperate I am to get out of this fucking job!
But, as soon as I get paid, that's when my other plan will come into effect. Start buying materials and get on with this whole clothes making business, starting small with Piratical shirts and britches until I'm confident enough to start on bigger things, I would do some more frock coats, but they are bloody expensive to make but only take about 6 hours to knock up. I've got some people already lined up to purchase some stuff, and things like that go for truly ludicrous sums at events and on ebay. So I want a piece of that action! If anyone's interested, let me know and I may be able to knock something up...
If I can convince my housemates, I'll get some pictures taken of the kit I've done.
Still not entirely liking the new design of the site. Getting more used to it now though, but I'm still a bit annoyed at some of these alleged 'features' like those bloody pop up windows!
but I'm hoping that the amount of criticism the change has spawned will see some positive results from those up on high. Fingers crossed anyway.
