And a very merry bank holiday to all of you. 4 days, count them, 4 days. That's how long I get off work. first time off this year. It makes me incredibly happy. Ecstatic really
Though the week's not been wirthout it's ups and downs. A couple of times, I've almost felt that horrible chasm yawning open in front of me. But , I've been able to sum up the will to say to myself 'But you've only just got out of it, and it was horrible in there'. So for about the first time in my life I've been able to get out of that frame of mind.
Go me.
so anyway, this is how I'm spending my evening tonight:
I've got 4 more bottles down here somewhere too, other assorted stuff. So, because I'm feeling rather benevolent, I recommend the Golden glory. It's a light, fresh ale with a subtle peach flavour. Golden champion also has a light fresh taste, but it's a bit more subtle, with no immediate distinction between flavours, but maintaining a fruity flavour. The Blandford fly on the other hand, although it reached the top 3 of my favourite ales, is not a drink for the spring, It's spiced aftertaste and slighty darker finish lend it better to autumn evenings, or even late winter, when the sun comes back, but you still need something to warm those bones slightly. The tangle foot was a bit of a dissapointment to be honest.. A bog standard slightly dark ale.
So I'm taking this beer drinking evening also to go through the CDs I got through the swap. There's some great stuff on there. Though maybe some I'm not too keen on. But every disc so far has had some awesomeness on it.
So, I'm going to spend tomorrow mainly sleeping. I've been sleeping like absolute crap this week. I've been sleeping for about 10 or 20 minutes before I wake up shuffle irritably and go back to sleep. Until of course when the alarm clock goes off. Then I simply turn it off and pass out. And whenb I finally wake up, I spend about half an hour staring at the ceiling. Hopefully a day asleep is what I need. Then I plan on drinking coffee and eating chocolate bread in my pants for a while. I may even watch a holiday/sunday movie.
...If only I had a copy of Zulu, that'd be brilliant.
