This internet thing is starting to become a complete thorn in my side. It's so bloody s...l...o...w... Really, it takes about 5 minutes to load up the SG front page. I've spent half an hour on the phone to some tech support guy, fiddled with some settings and managed to bring the network crashing down agin. It's getting personal now.
So, it's been an industrious couple of days for me, I managed to make a roast, complete all my paperwork for the month (No mean feat for me) move my washing from the floor to the washing machine, and even on to various radiators around the house. And I've managed to get my room sorted out, as I've not been able to see the floor for a good couple of weeks.
I've also been able to get hold of the TV show Rome, and get System shock 2, which should keep me entertained for a while at least.
The announcement came from work today, there will be no redundancies within my team, although there will be 'Natural wastage' - Birmingham, Oxford and South West Scotland. Nowhere near me. Bugger. I'd have quite liked that.
I've been feeling like I don't really have that much to say recently. But in quite a good way. Very litle has been going on with me recently, and I'm quite enjoying it. I have to say that despite computer related issues, I really love living here, it's the first place I've ever felt completely at home in for a good few years. So I'm taking this opportunity to just kick back and enjoy where I am at the moment instead of thinking frantically about what's going to be happening tomorrow. So sorry if I'm kinda quiet, but, well. Like I say, not much is really happening.
But I am going speed dating. I've had some very odd remarks off some friends. It's generally approaching incredulity, an open mouth, and a 'But why? You don't need that to find a girl' But, it seems that may very well be the case. Besides, I reckon it'll be a bit of a giggle. I was hoping to come up with 20 different names and death defying careers, but nah... I'm a little concerned though. I know what girls are like in this city, and I could end up in a room full of people that look like this:
But Ben's coming along too, and I can imagine we'll just get uproariously drunk and be incredibly inappropriate.

Very good. Got out of bed at ten, wandered to the shop for chocolate, went back to bed, played on't 'net for a bit, played out in the snow, should have been wokring. Not bad methinks. And you?
