Well, it abated. Kind of. It seems to have downgraded from a nasty staying in bed shivering and sweating thing to a cold. Not even a proper one at that, I just have the inconveniently blocked sinuses, I can't hear a bloody thing and I have a sore throat. I would have prefered a proper ailment over this plain annoyance.
But I'm doing better than my housemate. Who's shotgun like coughs have been echoing around the house for a while now. When he breathes, it sounds like a death rattle.
I made the fatal error of deciding to that I really needed to go out on Friday night too. I was just feeling mildly unwell. So I logically thought that the best way to deal with incoming illness was to ignore it and fill it with medicinal alcohol. But I've dicovered Rum and black and Brandy and Lovage. Both recommended as illness suppressants. I can see it with the Rum and black. Well, insofar as It tastes like medicine. Brandy and Lovage though, although incredibly good, not quite. I can see how it managed to get a whole album named after it though.
In other news, I discovered that in my time in this job, I have driven the equivalent of the circumference of the earth nearly 5 times. It's amazing the kind of things you think of when your really bored isn't it. But then again, I'm full of the most useless of facts, when important stuff never quite sinks in with me. I mean, I know that the cabbage is not a vegetable, it is in fact a very large herb. I can remember crap like that, but how about any member of my family's birthdays? Nope, I can remember the vague time of year, but that's as far as it goes. Oh well, at least my sister regularly phones me and tells me she's put my name in her card
And my attendance at this years download festival has been confimed by an unsubstatiated rumour that Clutch are playing.
