Well, Going back to work has not been the best. But, I have actually been getting up in the mornings and getting there on time. Which can only be a good thing. On Wednesday, I got a call from someone rather high up in our company, asking me to go to Bournemouth for two days as a major DIY chain have demanded that we go there and refit a store.
What then followed was a day of doing not very much. Hanging around, chatting to people who work for competitors, smoking cigarettes and hitting the floor and shelving units with a hammer until they did what I told them to do. Then we went back to the hotel we'd been booked in, which was a rather posh affair. It had a huge room (with far too many light switches it must be said) and a great shower. That evening, we had to do the 'corporate hospitality' thing. We had to take out some very high ranking officials from the DIY chain, and a couple of guys from ICI - now, we're in direct competition with ICI, so although I couldn't have given a toss that they were with us, I was warned to watch what I said in front of them, because, as I get given no information at all as to what we as a company are up to, I obviously represented some big trading secrets security breach. . Fortunately, it turned out that the guy from the DIY chain was quite a big nerd, so he and I just talked geek at each other all night, much to the annoyance of all other parties present, because they were unable to talk about paint for the duration of the evening.
Which was nice.
On other news, it looks like I'm not going to be able to get a +1 to join me to see Clutch next week. Which is a bit of a shame. So if there's anyone who stumbles across this journal and fancies going to see Clutch play in Exeter next monday (the 16th) I have a spare ticket. You can have it gratis.
I've finally got the latest Clutch album, which has now led to me getting rather excited at the prospect of seeing them, it should be a rather good night.
I'm currently having a few problems with the internet. I got a wireless card for the network here, and it's turned out to be as reliable as a promise from my ex! It's winding me up slightly, as it kicks me off the internet for no readily apparent reason and won't reconnect for a while.
Well, I better go, I have a long list of stuff I want to get done this weekend.

Happy New Year! I don't trust wireless. It's eyes are too close together.
