And a big hello to you all out there in SGland.
I believe that I've had quite a good week. Though I'm starting to get a little concerned about my alcohol consumption as of late. Oh well, It's winter, and I'm sure this is the time of year that you're supposed to drink in order to keep the cold at bay. Speaking of which, I recently discovered this little tipple:
Which is one of the finest winter drinks I've ever sampled! Mix it with some dry ginger ale and it'll keep those cockles warm!
In other news, I got really quite pissed off with the fact that I was looking like some kind of wild man. It's occuired to me that I've been taking absolutely no kind of interest in maintaining my appearance. So I cut my hair the other night.
So I went from this:
To this:
I'm incredibly fickle though, you remeber that beard talk? Well, I had amassed myself quite a collection of facial furniture, I was ready to turn it into the 'Lemmy', and then I got a text from a girl asking me out for the evening. So what did I do? Yes, I got rid of all of it. For no good reason as well! Did anything come of this meeting more than an empty wallet and a hangover? No! Hah!
Nothing much more to report, it snowed really quite heavily yesterday, So heavily in fact that I made it about halfway to Plymouth before just saying 'Fuck it' and I turned round and went back. My boss of cousre thinks I put a full day's work, but then again, he seems to think that I'm a truste and valued member of the team. So therefore we really shoudn't pay any attention to his expectations.
I've also just gone out and bought myself a ticket to see Soulfly, and two tickets to see Clutch. Don't ask me why I bought two Clutch tickets, but they are perhaps my favourite band, and I'm holding out a hope that I'll meet soemone who wants to go with me. I'm hoping this seems hopeful and romantic, other than sad and desperate. So, if any of you want to go see Clutch with me...?
This week, I've been mainly listening to:
QOTSA - All 4 albums.
Machine head - Burn my eyes
Primus - Frizzle fry, Antipop and Animals should not act like peole
Dead Kennedys - Fresh ruit for rotting vegetables
Mark Lanegan - Field songs
Tom Waits - Small change and Nighthawks at the diner
Yeah yeah yeahs - Fever to tell
A good frind also lent me The triumph of steel by Manowar, but I found it to be unlistenable shite. Which was a shame.
I have read:
Still reading The twelve Caesars by Suetonius
But I took a break and read
Batman: The long Halloween.
I've also been dipping into Monkey by Wu Ch'eng En too.
