Good man! Just don't bother contacting Lawnmower Deth! wink smile

did you ever work out if you were you, or if you're someone else? And if so did you ever have a birthday or did you find out it's on another day and now you have to appologise to all those people who wished you (if it is you) a happy birthday

I've found that I observe people. And I observe myself observing them.

Sounds a bit weird doesn't it. But bear with me for a moment.

I went to Bristol the other night for a friend's birthday. I wish I could have stayed on for Neyrissa's gathering, but work had to intrude. It was rubbish. Kind of. Well. Hmm.

It should have been rubbish, but...

The only person I think I'd argue with more then I do with my friends is me. I can't imagine I'd ever actually like me so a room full of clones of me sounds horrendous. I'm sure one of them would end up like Rimmers clone.

I've just got back from work. It was Awesome!!!!

Yeah, I'm that sad.

I took my first live calls, so I've had a day of saving lives and making a difference.

I single handedly saved a truck full of babies from certain doom.*

I'm loving loving my job (At least for the time being)

Saved any more poor innocent waifs & strays from disaster yet?

wow, you enjoy your job? That's so rad. I enjoy mine too, but I don;t have enough work. frown
Oh well, at least I get time to play video games....
Hope you are well my friend. For a change, I'm doing pretty well, despite the ex BS. Thanks for your support through that.
peace and happy voodoo.... smile

Today's been an unexpectedly productive day. I've done the chores. All my washing is done, the rubbish has been put out, the kitchen has been cleaned, I've been to Sainsburys, I've been to the bottle bank, I've sorted out a bike and have gone for a ride.

All footling little things I agree, but knowing me as well as I do, that's a minor miracle....

nice to see you got that bike. We'll make a lycra clad, road warrior out of you yet tongue

I can sympathise with the bad back. I've suffered on & off for the last 15 years. it starts to wear you down after a while frown Go & buy a decent mattress. Now.

I'm not quite sure what you going on about with all the "social life" stuff. It sounds familiar but I can't seem to recall exactly what it means confused

Get you with all your fancy talk! The hash VK sounds particularly exciting.

Well, back to earth then.

This weekend was without a doubt the best time I've ever had in Brighton, I couldn't have wanted anything better really. To everyone I met, including those who my memory may have failed me, thanks. Friday night was spent with JohnStitch, Sky, TheQuestion and Heavenandhell, having a very good Thai meal, while being entertained by Sky's drunken...

It was great seeing you again at Brighton. I'll hopefully catch you in Bristol in a few weeks time. Did you know Erica's moved her bash to the Friday now? I'm tempted to stay in Bristol all weekend and go to Neyrissa's meet as well.

BTW, did you post that photo of Tom & myself? I can't believe that I ever appear in a cracking picture.
heavenandhell:
Hope things are ok. kiss

Ah, it's been a while my friends. I would apologise to you for my extended absence, but it was probably for the best. It turned into a bit of a frantic couple of weeks for me, I realised that I'd spent about 6 days in a row in the house, I hadn't emerged once - I'd even ended up getting the housemates to go to...

Well, that was one of my more enlightening drunken posts I'd say. wink

Me? Drunk? Surely not!

It was a very good friend's birthday, so naturally a few ales were quaffed, shite was talked, then I rocked on over to one of the places that this delightful burgh calls a club. A kebab may very well have been consumed. Somehow, another hangover was completely avoided, which...

And finally my long catch up trawl through SG brings me to the door of the mighty Happy Pig! biggrin

Lately I've been going for vodka with virtually no hangover- it's the way forward.. but an experiment with kebabs may well be on the cards now..

Don't do anything I wouldn't do wink

I can't help but feel that I should post something here. As much as I like that Keats quote. It's just that I hate making sweeping generalisations, but why the hell are are girls so fucking mental?

There's this girl I met recently, very attractive, really nice, intelligent and we have a lot in common. Whenever I went round...

Tomorrow begins the Year of the Pig. oink

If it's your year, then you must grab it by the neck, right? Or is that just the year of the Turkey, and it's certainly not that! Maybe it's save your bacon or string your sausages...(i've laboured the point haven't i?)

with you new horizons job (or no job) wise maybe this is your year. it's the year o' pig for a reason; why not that?

Fill for me a brimming bowl
And let me in it drown my soul:
But put therein some drug, designed
To banish women from my mind:
For I want not the stream inspiring
That fills the mind with - fond desiring,
But I want as deep a draught
As e'er from Lethe's wave was quaff'd

Sometimes I wonder why I bother.

Normal service will resume...

I used to work in a pub some time ago. Every Friday, a rather distinguished elderly gentleman would come into the pub, his wife would be doing the weekly grocery shop. He'd sit at the bar and order a pint of bitter while he would wait for her.

When I first saw him, I couldn't help but have that feeling that I'd seen him somewhere...

That is very sad. he was one of those old-school actors; the ones that make shakespeare great to see. when he spoke did he have that presence about him? the good thing is he went peacefully in his sleep; no illness or foreknowledge. i hope we all are as lucky.

I have to say that's a bit of a loss in the passing of Sir Ian Richardson, I've always been an admirer of his performance. On the subject of the whole SGUK thing it's a bit hard to get into the "in crowd" when you don't know anyone in it.

I don't quite know what the deal is with my body at the moment.

At the moment, I'm currently sat in my room, listening to the Winding sheet by Lanegan, smoking a cigarette and drinking a cup of coffee. I feel strangely at peace with the world, in fact in a minute I'll take a leisurely stroll to the shop, going via the long route...
