Those who can't write quote
Poems do not make revolutions any more then revolutions make poems.
The function of poetry, in terms of revolution, is to destroy convetional and limiting associations and all the decrepit, stifling myths of capitalist civilization by liberating images of desire. The function of revolution, in terms of poetry , is to destroy oppressive social conditions through the self- activity of the massess, leading to a total human liberation, and thus to create a situationin which poetry is realized in life itself.
