still alive and very suprised...i'm in good hands with gomez
My day in philly...or is that my day out of wyoming valley...
*ACTION*
Scene 1
So easter sunday/yesterday/2 days ago i traveled to philly to see Interpol and had one hell of a time. My friend Paul John picked my ass up at about 2 o'cluck and we were off. Driving with paul is great because we share our crazy phillosophies with each other and share different camera angles...so needless to say it seemed like no time at all before we arrived at penn's landing to park his car for either the day or forever...whichever came first
Scene 2
Paul John and I checked in at Monk's Cafe (the capital of great Belgian Beer/Food for PA) at about 4:30 and then we were off. To start things off i had a beer that the bartender (extremely cool chick who is always there) didn't think i'd like...but i loved it (set the bar low and he will jump) to make a long story short we stayed there until about 7:45...had way too many great beers....had excellent food...met some crazy cats from New Zeland who by chance were on vacation at the same exact location where paul does his marine biology summer studies....oh and i forgot to mention our server hit on paul relentlessly...we offered her our extra ticket to the show but she had to work all day and as it turned out the ticket wasn't so extra after all as Paul's friend pat did in fact make the trip...focus...so then we were drunk feeling great and off to the show
INTERMISSION
Did "Jesus" supposedly resurrect from the Resurrectum?
Scene 3
Paul and I arrived at the show waiting for our other 3 friends Pat, Jen H, and Ryan...they were running late and the blonde redhead had already started so we headed up to the bar got some good Paulaner Hefeweiss and began to enjoy. Now i've heard of the blonde redhead before...they've been around for a long time but for some reason i never checked them out...i thought they were very stimulating and enjoyed them highly. Then it was time for another german beer...followed by a fairly cheep (11.95) Chimay Red (very suprised they have good beer at the electric factory) and i took a walk to see who i could see. I met up with two cool chicks that were standing right next the stage...we talked about cool movies and good music and about how the guy watching the staircase should be named Angelo...good times. Finally Paul bought me a shot of Jameson, we met up with our friends (better late than never) and it was time for Interpol. I thought they were great but seemed to play too short...i guess i just didn't want the good times to stop...they were much more captivating than when i saw them with the Rapture and the Cure at the Tweety Bird Centre...but that place is just too big....so i had an awesome time...but the night was only halfway over...
