This past weekend I made for my hometown with my friend Joe and Kyle. It was the shortest five hour trip I've ever made. There's nothing like good company and conversation to make the hours go by fast.
I just returned from class a few minutes ago, and realized that my SG has been being seriously neglected. So, I am updating.
While I was in Klamath Falls, it started snowing. That's right. SNOWING. It was fun though, and while I don't like driving in it, I realized how much I really miss the sound of snow falling. I just don't get that kinda quiet up here in Portland. I suppose that's why I took up snowboarding. I needed to be around snow.
Also, during my time spent there, my friends and I (about eight of us) crashed a smaller party and actually made it better. Good times. Fun pictures. Unfortunately, those pictures are in a camera back in Klamath.
Today, I have some painting to do to catch up and get my homework done. I have to do a self-portrait and a still-life. It won't be work, really, it will be a lot of fun.
Also, today I have a job interview, so wish me luck! It's my first real interview for a job EVER! ...Pathetic isn't it?
Classes are going well, all around. I just need to kick my butt into gear and start working ahead on some of my bigger projects so I don't get all bogged down at the end of the term.
I miss Joe, but I will hopefully see him again before he goes back to Turkey. I'm scared for him, though, because he's going to be going to Iraq if Bush gets re-elected. Maybe even if Kerry gets into office, though I think his chances of staying in the states are much greater if the latter is the case. I really hope Bush doesn't win. I'm afraid. I am happy to be able to say though that the military has done little to change the whimsical attitude that is Joe. He's always been a comedian, very happy-go-lucky, and it's good to know that he hasn't been "reprogrammed" so far.
Anyway, I must get ready to go work out, so I will chat with ya'll lata.
