Tomorrow I depart for my hometown...See my mom and friends that have been begging my return for a few months. I miss them all so much, I wish they all could live up here in Portland with me. Most of all, I miss my best coffee buds, Nick, Larry, Becca, Gene, Allison, Jenny, Ana, David and Liz. We were quite the awesome group a year or so back. Up here in this area, I've made some friends, but my old friends still know me the best out of anyone. They were there watching me grow up, as I was watching them, and now I'm sure I seem like a stranger to them. I am the one that went away, that moved on. Most of them still live there, maybe one went somewhere else for college...

I miss those carefree nights hanging out at Denny's until 2 in the morning, giving the waitresses hell, listening to Larry's stories, playing boardgames with the manager. I will never forget how Becca ordered "pickles with a side of cream cheese." I couldn't stop laughing, almost spewed out my coffee.

So much has changed this past year, and I'm sure that there's lots of change yet to come. Nick, ironically enough, used to hate me, as I did him, but somehow, that changed. Now he and I are best buds, and if either of us has a problem, we're the first ones we go to. Larry is still the same, still working for his dad, still as flaky as ever. I love my Larry-Bob anyway. Becca has graduated from high school, and she's moved out of her parent's house (thank god, that place was a nightmare), Gene has had his heart ripped from his chest by a woman that he loved dearly and wanted to marry...and he and I were always pretty close (plus we used to have crushes on each other), so this information hurt me deeply since his girlfriend was also a very good friend of mine. It's always quite the predicament when both parties of a breakup want you on their side...Allison and I don't really speak to one another anymore...she accused me of being a horrible friend because I wasn't there for her when she needed me...Maybe I am a horrible friend *shrug*...Jenny and I used to see things very differently, but now she and I see a lot of things eye to eye, and hang out whenever possible...I haven't spoken to Ana since I went to college, mostly because we had grown so far apart...She was very conservative, I was not, and we both didn't really see that changing any time soon...With Liz, it's basically the same thing...Ana and I were best friends almost all throughout high school, then somehow I was replaced by Liz, which I was cool with, and well, when Ana and I grew apart, so did Liz and I...David...my unspoken crush for so many years...but he was always too much of a player for me, I saw his habits with the ladies and decided it was better if I never said anything. I wasn't looking for a two week relationship. I miss him though, his quirky sense of humor, I've never met anyone else quite like him.

Err...Sorry for the ranting, something I've been thinking about a lot lately...Especially since I'm going to see all of them tomorrow...

I saw Resident Evil 2: Apocalypse this last Friday, and was not disappointed. It is one of the best horror flicks I've seen in a long time. Made me squeak twice and made me almost scream once. My face was constantly buried in Kyle's shoulder, but I couldn't turn away completely. Alice and Jill made me feel funny in my pants. There's just something sexy about women that kick the ass out of zombies without hardly breaking a sweat.

Had a birthday party for one of Kyle's co-workers, played Kings, got properly smashed...I make fucking great margaritas! Oh, plus, my temp job? It's now my job, nothing temp about it. I'm way stoked.

Well, folks, I hope you have a great week, I'm going to be gone for most of it, and I've been being bad about commenting in your guys' journals, so I promise when I get back I will spend some time making that up to you.

My answers:

1. My favorite video game is Final Fantasy IV/2. Kain is a sexy Dragoon beast.

2. The most important thing in the world to me is getting my degree and possibly going for my masters so I can realize my dream as an animator, and maybe open up my own studio. Kyle is a very close second, but at this point in my life, (and yea, this sounds selfish), my goals come first.

3. My l.e.i. jeans. They're so comfy, and I got them on sale...Awesome deal if ya ask me. In a close second are my new Adidas Samba shoes...they're black and white and stylin'.
