Okay so here's what I was bitching about. If you don't already know I work at a lumber yard. Now most of our sales we deliver to the customers but some people do pickup their own material. Unfortunately they usually don't have the right equipment for it. So today this very odd man came in to pickup a bunch of 20 foot long composite decking. Which is a very expensive, heavy, slippery, and just awkward material to handle. The real problem though was his truck! An old dumptruck (I think it was a 59 Ford) with a busted bed and rotten deck. It's broken so badly that the front end doesn't even sit flat! It's elevated about 2 feet in the air! Plus it was only 12 feet long. So that means 8 feet of this material are going to be sticking out the back. Which when combined with the elevated front end it put the material about 6 inches from the ground! Not safe, legal, or smart! So in order to protect the material he attached some sticks to the bottom so they rub instead of the decking. It was the most ridiculous load I have ever seen leave our yard. I really hope he got pulled over before he caused an accident! AHHHHHH!!!!!! So how are all of you wonderful folks?
