I made Butterscotch. It was a little dark, lesson learned, use light brown sugar.
It was pretty easy, just brown sugar, molasses, butter, water, and vinegar. though I think you could leave out the water, it was only a couple tablespoons. It would still hydrate with the butter and molasses and you wouldn't have to wait for it to boil off. It might go too fast though.
Also, I was supposed to drop it out with a teaspoon, didn't work either just ran and made little puddles, next time use candy molds.
So here it is:
First of all you gotta have a kitchen, not like this one, this is my kitchen, it's really little, has an electric stove, and is kinda dirty. I just don't have anywhere to put most of that stuff, too much crap too little kitchen.
Then you put a pot on the stove and put everything into the pot.
Yes, that's my Calphalon, and yes you can bite me!
you let everything come to a boil.
And it boils for a long time, until it reaches 300 F.
Then you pout it out onto a tray. Actually like I said you scoop it with a teaspoon, didn't work... not sure why, I'll have to play with it.
Then you put it on the floor to cool!
There you go, homemade Butterscotch. It tastes kinda like Pecan Brittle, without the Pecan. Not bad, need to work on the recipe, it probably needed some rum in it.
And tomorrow, I'm making chocolate chip cookies. The best, chewiest chocolate chip cookies in the world!!!
