So people have asked me what I want to do with my baking degree... well I can't really tell you (It's secret still
)
But I can give you some hints.
My favorite topic of study right now is spain. More specifically whats happening there, and all the developments being made.
There is one group of chefs there in particular.
They run a restaurant, and a hotel, named El Bulli, and El Bulli Hotel respectively.
They are brothers, their names are Ferrn and Albert Adri.
Their restuarant is only open half the year, the other half of the year they spend doing research into new culinary techniques, and recipes.
Here's a link to a page on EGullet about their lab.
The Cabinet of Dr. Adri
And here's a link to his webpage for his restaurant.
El Bulli
His is probably one of the most innovative chefs in the world today, and definately one of my heroes. I really really want one of his cookbooks, but they're all in spanish (which really doesn't bother me) and they have to be imported, for a total cost of about $150 for the cheapest, to over $300 for the most expensive
So you want to know what I want to do... that wouldn't be a bad start, but its not everything.
french kiss?

did you call?
what did they say?
and do you remember commenting on that one piece in the exhibit yesterday, laughing because it resembled a clog?
i got a postcard from holland today and it has a woman on it, bending over at a dock at water... she's barefooted, you can see one of her shoes in the grass behind her, and then the other one appears to be what she's putting in the water with tiny sails on it!... there's a little string attached to the back so it doesn't get too far - it's like flying a kite but on the water!
so rad!
!!!
happy monday, mister
I remember the Wizard & Nintendu 64, but not the episode. Wow, my brain has really gone to pot (arf arf). (BTW- Your bong or mine?
I never read Blades
Yeah, a martini without olives is dumb. I just wrote it because it fit the "theme" of the list. I actually prefer a vodka martini (gin is fine though), *slightly* dirty, stirred (shaking only affects the gin, though, right?). Suave.
