Guess what!
I saw Harry Potter: the Prisoner of Azkaban last night!
okay first let me say, I only saw about half of the first one, in different segments, I saw most of the second but don't really remember it, and I've never read any of the books.
But I think I'm a born again potter now. That movie was totally fricking awesome, not to spoil anything, but I didn't see the plot twists coming, and once things started going I began to understand, but I was still surprised to the end, and the handling of something special, which is never handled well, was handled fantastically. I'd tell you but it would give stuff away.
I'm gonna go get the books now and read them. well some of them...
segway into the topic for this entry:
Movie Spoilers!!!
And I don't just mean the people who tell you what is going to happen, or the people who sit next to you, and tell you everything that's happening.
I mean like reading the book before hand, or a movie review. It seems often that they aren't giving something away, but for instance, they talk about how a director had an enjoyment of a certain element of this movie(again not disclosing) and then it is not blatantly apparent in the movie, leading to speculation, and ultimately not the intended surprise when the culprit is revealed.
This movie was so great I think because I had not read the book, watching it, I realize that if I had read the book first, the plot twists would not have been as exciting as they were.
So, this is resolution number 2.
I will read nothing about a movie before I watch it, not even the book. If it is based off of a book, I will read the book afterwards, so as not to reduce my enjoyment of the movie.
And I'm reading Harry Potter. Bumbledorf(sp?) is so cool. nothing happens that he doesn't know about, I remember that from the previous movies. I wanna be like him when I grow up. Well and Karen from Will and Grace.
Karendorf. The lush who knows everything. Yep that's me!
Peace-Out! Have Fun! oh yeah, and WORD!
[EDIT] thanks to jae_murder I now know it's Dumbledor not bumbledorf. So by extension it's also Karendor!

If you read the books then you will be all, "what? that wasn't in the book.." Who I hate seeing LOTR with bookworms.
It was hard to miss me. I was one of 5 guys working the autograph line.
