*** Practicals, Practicals, Practicals ***
I have both my practicals today! YAY!
This morning I had basic food prep, I had to make a hollandaise with asparagus, and a cream of broccoli soup. I got a perfect score on the cream of broccoli soup, but missed a couple points on the hollandaise because I slightly oversalted it, even though it was perfect with the asparagus, and my garnish was a little bit off. That makes for a 98. He also said I had the most consistently good quality product on anyone in the class.
I love school, I love cooking.
Baking practicals are tonight.
I'm making Soft Rolls, and Scones. we'll see how they turn out, if I can get them done in about an hour, I'll get 10 bonus points, I can't complain about that!
Yesterday was really stressful, My printer broke and I couldn't get my recipes for practicals to print. I had to go early to do more work in their computer lab up there. I didn't get any sleep tuesday night, and I was really hungry.
But I got to sleep well last night, even though I had to be up at 6:00 this morning for school. But I'm in a lot happier mood today, so if there's any leftover pinchings from yesterday, go ahead, I won't mind now.
Hmm... despite the stress of the application for school, no real spring break, and having practicals to study for, it's been a good week.
Love school, school loves me, people at work love me, and my students from my class at work *REALLY* love me.
so, if any one is missing any...
LOVE
PS. WHOA! I just noticed the little three-eyed thing blinks in sequence.
Watch it!
Okay, on another note, I was thinking about this.
We had a sushi class at work on monday. I really like to make sushi. Do you like to eat sushi? would it be fun to do a sushi party, and make lots of homemade sushi, and drinks lots of sake? And watch japanese movies? I could show people who don't know how to make sushi how to, you could make your own, I'd make some, sushi, sake, and movies or something? what do you think?
