Well it seems that the storm is passing but there are still lightning sparks hitting the few remaining trees still standing in fear and denial. Like the writing? Kind of happens when you become an author. Speaking of, my second novel Tourniquet is going live very soon but is already available in ebook format. Kind of something that I am already showing a very special preview of my third novel titled Dumpling here on SG which is actually the first place to recieve the preview. I'll show more as time goes by on my official Myspace page but until then, I'll just keep to what is happening.
I recently recieved the complete series of Firefly and Serenity which is a show I am late getting on the bandwagon for. That is kinda bad though because I am a Whedonite which is a term given to those who are devoted Joss Whedon fans. I loved his other shows Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel and honestly I really love Dollhouse. So missing this series was kind of a shocker for my inner-self. I have to say it is one of the best series I have ever seen and there is a lot of underlying themes that I am sure people miss unless you are huge Whedonite like I am. For example, the people in this series live in a new solar system with many moons that are habitable. There are more planets in this solar system as well. Finally, the people consists of a new culture made from the two super powers on Earth being the United States and China thus why people speak a hodgepodge language of English and Mandarin.
Summer Glau is now one of my big crushes for she is one of the best actresses I have ever come across. I loved her in Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles and I believe this show made her more than any other show. I honestly hope Joss Whedon makes a new series starring both Summer Glau and Eliza Dushku. That would be awesome!
I also watched The Lovely Bones in theaters and it was awesome for a book to movie adaption. I have come to realization a long time ago that a movie will mostly likely never surpass a book so I don't try to expect the movie to be equal or better than the book but if it is, I am more than happy. I am looking for the movie to live up to par to being a good movie and that is what the film delivered. Saorse Ronin and Stanley Tucci did an excellent job playing their roles as the main character Susie Salmon (Ronin) and George Harvey (Tucci). Also, there was a scene in the movie that made my eyes water. I'll leave that be for you all to figure out.
Well that's my life for now. I got more to talk about but I'll do it later or probably on Friday since I have something to look forward to. My friend Krystal is turning twenty-three tomorrow. Want to see her on her birthday before I go off her grid for about two years. Well that is it for now my friends. I will hope you all the best.
