Hello SG land! The Alpha Jan here again and I just noticed brand new things for this month. I have something more special but I'll save that for last.
In general, this year has begun terrible for most people. Unemployment has gone up, people are suffering more, and the news isn't helping at all in general. I mean personal responsibility is at an all-time low? I even noticed this around me. More people I know personally have been laid off and I feel bad for some of them because some of them are very good workers and were very loyal to the company they worked at. How do I know that? Well it's the career I work out that laid them off. Nine people lost their jobs and are now joining the 10.2 percent of Americans who are unemployed. Now I can understand this on a employer's perspective since the employer is good but the customers aren't paying. So all in all, it is just not going up to par. Also, all the seasonal people at my other job are working their last day on January 15th. I felt really sad for that too since some of them are really nice and sweet. I really hope they can survive - especially the ones with major responsibilities such as families and mortgages and such.
There is one thing I think employers need to do with their employees and that is give advanced notice on when they have to lay people off. It is good employee standards to place a two-week notice before leaving a company right? Well how about the other way around? I mean if you were working for a place and they laid you off all of sudden - even if you are a good worker and they like you - how would you feel? Same goes for employers. How does a good employer feel when a good employee leaves all of a sudden without any notice? Just...well...quit. I really think employer/employee standards need to be re-written and made Gospel.
I played Bayonetta and it is one of the coolest games I have ever played. True it is not hard but it is entertaining. I thought the difficulty was just as similar to Devil May Cry 4 and when it comes to gameplay and difficulty Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening still owns. The whole nudity thing is just fandom though. If you like naked pixels, well more power to you. I just thought all the hair moves were cool as well as fighting with four guns - two in your hands and two on your feet - which was freakin' awesome!
SG landwise, Aleon turned twenty-one so congratulations to her for becoming legal to purchase alcohol. Now whenever a cop pulls her over for drunk driving and he asks, "Do you know your ABCs?", she can answer, "Sure, there's one on the corner next to the gas station, and one next to the mall, and..." And finally, I found out recently that both Ayastigi and I have Barnes & Noble Addictions in which she spends an average of about $40 to $50 every visit and maybe it's because she has a "Member Card". I can relate to that since I TOO have a member card and blaze cash like its a lead and anthrax cloud zooming in on me. With my Barnes & Noble though, there's a Starbucks/Cheesecake Factory, which are two names owned by Barnes & Noble along with GameStop, inside and the member's card works on those too. So not only can I buy books but I can get fat in the process with the 1000 calorie fraps. I do love their sandwiches though.
I could see it now.
The Alpha Jan: "Hello, my name is Jan."
Everyone: "Hello Jan."
The Alpha Jan: "And I am addicted to Barnes & Noble."
Everyone: "We feel your pain Jan."
Now for something totally new!

You all didn't know I was an author right? Well some of you do but I really don't promote books here. However, this one is special to me and fits the criteria for this site. The title of my third novel is called Dumpling and it is about a girl who all in all is a good girl and has a personal choice in the adult entertainment industry spanning from strip clubs, porn sites, fetish groups, prostitution, and everything else in between and told through the first person in the setup of the five stages of death and the twelve step program. This one is also special since this is told in the first person and there is NO dialogue. I am purposely doing that too. So check it out yo. I am thinking of posting the first few chapters here on SG. Do you want to read it?
Faith. Love. Hope. Will.
