So I tried out a new recipe tonight. See the results below.

Carmelized Leeks and Asparagus

It ended up being very tasty. Kind of sweet and then the asparagus were sauteed with butter and lemon so they had a nice zing to them to offset the sweetness of the leeks. All in all a victory. All in all a victory.

Course with any good meal there is an aftermath.


my dirty kitchen

I have been getting a lot of satisfaction with teaching myself all these new cooking skills and eating all different kinds of foods and vegetables that I have never had. I even get a lot of satisfaction out of the cleaning afterword. Josh says that I make too much of a mess when I cook but I think that if you haven't made a mess then it's doubtful that your cooking will come out good. Kind of like when old italian ladies would check the doneness of noodles by flinging them against a wall to see if they would stick and then just leaving them. Ok so that's kind of gross but I just don't think you can be dainty when you cook. You just have to get down and dirty.

Ok so I had some ambition to do a lot of esoteric writing about cooking but it has all left me. Guess its just a picture show tonight. weee.
