my review of coachella...
if you didn't go, you didn't miss as much as I thought you would.
however, I did have a good time overall, and the pixies, radiohead, and deathcab fucking rocked. dancing in that crazy fucking hot tent to crystal method was definitely good times as well.
on the downside...
104 degrees sat, 107 degrees sunday, lines everywhere, $2 a bottle water (there were only 3 spickets for free water... one person at a time with the lines averaging around 35 minutes, and they wouldn't let you bring any in). 2 hrs in line the first night to get into the campground, and no way to find the other SG folks... as I managed to forget my cell phone charger and my phone went dead. clever.
anyway... I hung out with my friend Joe the whole time. He flew into SF on thursday night, and we drove down and back together, which was great. we always have kickass conversations, and my brain was needing some excercise
I think I'm going to be taking a break from standard activities for a while (except for prom and brunches)... need to work on music/print art/work, and that will require some real focus. feeling kind of introverted at the moment too.
of course, I have no willpower against SG events, so we'll see if that actually happens
