Much like a lot of folks here on SG I was pretty fucking happy to say adios to 2010. It was a years full of both adventures and heartache.
Early in 2010 I shot my first set with Lorelei, which was super fun.
An Undertaking
The set hasn't been bought but I'm grateful for the experience of shooting with her and have a lot of beautiful shots.
For my birthday in february, SG purchased my Wide Eyed set shot by Zoetica. This was seriously the BEST birthday present ever!!!
2010 was filled with many hangouts with the SG family. MainEvent Fest was held for our dear friend MisterMainEvent who had been working on his health and body image to celebrate his success. He had taken a drinking hiatus, we needed to get him back in the game
A few months later a group of amazing women rolled through town on an epic road trip. Thats when this happened:
Hell City is always an event that I am always determined to attend. Its always an amazing experience and last year I really wanted to go to HC Killumbus so I made it happen.
I ended up winning 3rd place traditional for my stomach piece and as you can see, I completely freaked out.
I roomed with Patton and Rourke which was fabulous and we totally bonded. I really had a chance to get to know King and Doctor whom I had really admired.
The summer went by so slow. I had plenty of awesome hangouts with my SG family, both during summer and throughout the year but we were eagerly anticipating HC Phoenix. It finally came and so did my BFFF Mummifier from Alaska. I felt really bad for her coming from arctic tundra to the raging hot desert. She handled it like a trooper and everyone had a fucking blast!
HC PHX Album
Before I knew it the leaves were changing color, there was a chill in the air and Halloween was upon us. October was a hard moth, I will leave it at that but I included an awesome time at Good Times Fest and ended with the SG Halloween party in Columbus. The killer party was a much needed break from reality.
The final major event in 2010 was the Epic Red Cup Massive Psycho Circus for NYE. Most of the SG fam made it out and it was amazing. I was the greatest party I have ever been to and the best part was that I shared with my favorite people.
There were quite a few performances but I didn't get pics of much. I was too busy partying my ass off. here are the few I got.
These first 2 days of the new year I have spent snowed in and recovering. This is the house:
We are experiencing record low temperatures in AZ and lets just say the wood stove isn't cutting it. We have just been trying to get snuggly and keep warm.
I am so thankful for all these experiences and for the wonderful people in my life. Suicide Girls has been a major aspect of my life and I am grateful everyday for this community and opportunities they invoke. I really enjoyed this blog, looking back at the event of the past year and remembering how fun life can be. I sometimes get down on how hard things are at times, it seems like I'm always going through some bullshit. In the new year I will try my damnedest to just enjoy life, take pleasure in little things and try not to get wrapped up in the craziness of my job.
Happy New Year all you crazy kids!
