Mary Prankster, my favorite Baltimore-DC area musician - in fact, my favorite live performer - is retiring next month.
The "huh?", "what?", "noooo...!" plaintive cries are already echoing around the Internet.
I am really sad about this. She is a great performer. She is like the rock of D.C. as far as I am concerned.
She says she will still be selling her CDs and other merchandise at her site - while they last, and her music at the famous iTunes Music Store, and there are a few more shows in October and November 2005. Then, that's it.
Check out her site, listen to some of her music, and if you are going to be in the Baltimore or DC areas between now and Thanksgiving weekend 2005 - check out one of her performances. You won't be disappointed.

Wouldn't it be cool if you could "call down a hailstorm" whenever you needed some ice for tropical drinks at a party?
