Now having read all the books and seen the Swedish movie version of "The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo," this Dolph Lundgren video from Swedish TV makes a bit more sense. A bit. Not much. However, I will continue to watch it because 1) Dolph riding a Segway to Rage Against the Machine is awesome; 2) To hear Dolp pronounce "capisce"; 3) To see Dolph kidnap children from a Swedish mall and disguise himself as a small girl.
Yay! New milestone today! I have mailed my 250th resume out. At this point, I am not sure if there is anyone in the KC Metro area who does not have a copy of it. I should at this stage just be able to reference it as an open document. Ucccch. Unemployment sucks, the hours are great, but the pay scale blows. I have not been totally unemployed for the last two years, there have been contract positions here and there, so I have been able to keep above water. But still, ucccccch. When people ask why I went to law school, I am now being more honest. Most people will give you a song and dance like "To defend rights!" or "To ensure everyone gets justice", you know, general intellectual twaddle. Personally, I have a history degree and an MA in Russian Studies, which become rather useless during that whole "perestroika" thing. So. Why law school? Cause I was a liberal arts major whose chosen profession hit the skids who is bad at math and not overly happy with the sight of blood, so law school was pretty much it as I needed a job that could produce the income needed to pay off Sallie Mae.
I took some time out this weekend to re-watch teh movie version of Koushun Takami's Battle Royale. I have not read the manga, but I really enjoyed the novel. The downside is, everytime I hear about "The Hunger Games" I get all snerky.
