in this moment i am a muse for edward hopper
5:08pm- good eats
the red couch-like dinner booths are exceptionally comfortable. the folk music hums on like a lullaby. i sigh, sing me a good one mr. cash. this table made to hold four seats one. one. the comfort of my own company. sanctuary found in solitude. preoccupied with boredom. too busy to notice the waiter and i are the only people left in a room full of empty chairs and clean tables. desperate for time to keep flying. time spent in silence.
yesterday i went down to deep ellum to take my mom to see the marvelous nine eyes studio. she enjoyed it i'm sure. we tried to find a place to eat, but she got frustrated with trying to locate a certain dinner and took me back to my car. i was still hungy and didn't want to drive all the way back to denton just yet so i stayed in deep ellum, wandering the streets. i doodled and had a bite at Good Eats, ventured inside a vintage store, and sat on the corner to read. somehow ended up talking to a bum about train hopping. his name was hopper and he had exceptionally long finger nails. i learned some neat facts from him about the dos and don't or hitching. on my departure i gave him 3 dollars and directions to the food bank. i hope he didn't buy crack.
i went back to the gallery and walked around the corner to a park off of victor. i was given several offers for money in exchange for sexual favors on my journey but it didn't keep me from rockin' out of a really talk swing set. rock. gave a little girl and mr. merchant a sunflower. the little girl didn't know english but mark did and he said thank you. at around midnight mcm and i went to sushi yama. YUMMMMMM! everything was wonderful but the japanese power pop got alittle too much towards the end of our meal.
tonight i'm resting and trying to strategize tomorrows events. I NEED A JOB!! so starbucks here i come. old school ninetendo games and several chapters of Surviver are on the agenda.
love love love love
