this morning my grandmother passed. i feel so terrible for my grandfather. he loved her every minute of their life together. i remember when she was really sick, and he would come into the living room, where her hospital bed was set up in front of the television, so she could be comfortable and watch soap opera and law and order all damn day if she wanted to. he would come into the room and wipe the sweat from her brow and lean down next to her and say 'i love you amelia may.'
he is the sweetest man i've ever known.
i just hope that she is embracing divine white light, and she has someone to hold her hand. someone to help her not be afraid. my stong, southern bell, grandmother.

I still have my grandma (just turned 90) and she misses my grandfather terribly even after 15 years.
We all do.
I don't know why life works that way.
It makes no sense to me, but I assume it's not supposed to.
