christmas is coming and the goose is getting fat. time is becoming more and more depressing. i'm afraid i may not get to see all the people i wanted to say goodbye to. i'm not even sure who cares about seeing me before i leave. i'm so upset i've been listening to parts of that jimmy eat world album, clairity. whoa. thats pretty sad.
i have pictures of my trip to Santa Barbara on the 9th, but i can't load them on my computer because there is no internet. but i assure you, i will have plenty of pictures when i move in early january. my lease starts on the first of the new year but i won't be leaving right away.
santa barbara is going to be so expensive and i'm not really looking forward to being the extremely poor kid in the filthy rich town. i'm excited about the schooling though. i've never worked with a large format camera before.
i miss all of my friends. i wish i could feel loved all the time. sometime midweek, i'm heading back home to austin for the holidays. i really hope christmas dinner isn't anything like thanksgiving. i think i might die if i eat another gross casserole.
i started reading this book by Martin Rees called Before the Beginning, about the beginning of our universe and others. i'm really enjoying it. theres a quote in the first chapter that is simply amazing.
"i am part of the sea as my eye is part of me. That i am part of the earth my feet know perfectly, and my blood is part of the sea." - DH Lawrence.

I am so bored and cold right now. I'm stuck in upstate new york with no car, and no cold weather gear. I cannot wait to get home to SB. I get back on the 6th and when I do assorted locals and people from school are going on a 1-2 day road trip into the desert, Joshua Tree and Death Valley. I don't know what it's all aboot, but everyone from school ends up going there at some point. Anyway, if you're set up at your place, you'd be welcome to come along and meet some people. Only the best people, I should say. Hope you're having a more eventful holiday!
