Happy St. Patrick's Day!
Quite an overdue blog as usual, I hope 2025 is treating everyone well so far. Going through my phone for my typical photo dump of life updates I haven't been up too much, but I've had a few cool things happen recently as well as a few sad moments being losing another cousin and learning that @Neptune passed away. I never got a chance to meet her but I admired Neptune's work, she had a wonderful personality, awesome music taste and was a meme queen! I do have a signed print that I will cherish ❤️
Picking up from my last blog, I started adding to the tattoo on my leg back in June. It's almost done but a background filler still needs to be added and both Rogue and Gambit need a touch up. Loving how it's turned out! The lips belong to Masuimi Max as my little tribute to her for being such an inspiration and the quote is from Rogue and Gambits wedding "So that's what I promise you...That no matter what I'll always find my way back to you."
I saw Bush again and Candlebox for the first time in September and had a pretty good time
Saw the second Beetlejuice and have since rewatched it a few times. I grew up watching the first movie and animated series so I was pretty happy to see something new with the franchise.
Had a new experience with having to crack the crab legs in my seafood ramen. A lot of work but it was delicious though not something I'd like to do again.
Made a knockoff version of the Pineapple upside down cake/cheesecake that they sell at the Cheesecake factory and it was pretty addictive. It was my first time making cheesecake despite how often I have it, but definitely won't be the last. I'm thinking I may make a cherry one next time.
Anytime I have the opportunity to see Fifth Element in theatres I always make time to go see it as it's my favorite movie. Saw it for the second time on the big screen though I've watched the DVD countless times.
Added to my collection of books written by members here on SG! From left to right @sinnabunny @adumbralphotography @mrkev79
Enjoyed several snow days as it's pretty rare for snow in Ga unless you live in the north or closer to Florida.
Saw an ad on Instagram for mystery books. The link looked sketch so I googled around and found an Etsy seller to buy from instead. I haven't read it yet but it came wrapped up like a present and was loaded with stickers, different bookmarks, and even a reading list to keep track of what I read. I'm sure I'll enjoy the book once I get to it and I'm looking forward to getting another surprise book.
One of my dear friends gifted me some winter flower bulbs for Christmas which I planted though I only got to enjoy one of the 4 blooms as Ga's crazy weather ended up killing them. They will bloom again so I'll get to see what color the other 3 are eventually.
Originally when @adumbralphotography and I chatted about working together again I didn't have any plans, I just wanted to get in front of a camera again before my birthday. I then started thinking of what to wear and themes right around the time I learned party city was going out of business, where I decided to shoot a St. Patrick's theme and an Easter theme for magazine submissions after finding some lights/props to use. The Easter theme hasn't been edited yet but the St. Patrick's theme has been submitted and accepted to Unveil magazine!
I turned the big 4-0!
I wanted to do something different to celebrate the milestone year as I don't really do much on my birthdays normally. I decided to go to the Botanical Gardens as I've always wanted to go. I was supposed to go years ago for Dale Chihuly's exhibit but didn't make it but was pleasantly surprised to see a few of his pieces were still at the garden. I also took a glass blowing class and made a bowl. It's basically big enough to be a small candy dish or fruit bowl but I love how it turned out.
Well that's all for now. I hope everyone has a safe and happy St. Patrick's Day/Easter for all those who celebrate. Until next time!
