Happy Memorial Day to all who celebrate/partake! Here's a sneak peek of an upcoming set shot by @sunshine titled "All I wanna do" 🎆
Another overdue blog that will have a few sad moments but overall good memories. If you've followed me for a long time, prior to the new site layout before some older blogs unfortunately got lost, you'll know that I was a fan of the incredible Masuimi Max. While grieving the loss of multiple family members, 4 at that point, I learned that she too had passed. She was definitely an inspiration and will be greatly missed. Although I wasn't able to ever see a live performance, I at least was able to meet her once. I still remember talking to her and learning that she originally was going to perform at Door44 but once she got to the venue and saw how small it was, that got turned into a meet and greet instead.
I went with one of my coworkers on a day off to try Kyuramen and it was delicious! I had their, takoyaki, vegetarian ramen, and taro bubble tea.
I decided to order myself valentines chocolates after watching JennaLynnMeowri stream where she mentioned a company that made chocolates with alcohol. I don't drink but I was curious to the flavors. They were good though some of them didn't survive the journey intact.
I went to a new favorite breakfast spot called Snooze and got some French toast made with brioche bread 🍞
I had the pleasure of being included in the hopefuls new profile photo contest during Love a hopeful week which was a pleasant surprise!
I was looking for reference images for an addition to my tattoo when I randomly stumbled upon an image from an etsy seller. They had a series of beautiful tattooed women and I noticed an image looked like me, so I reached out to the artist to get a signed print ♡
While randomly scrolling Instagram, I came across a post that Who's Line is it anyway would be coming through town so I grabbed a ticket as Jeff Davis was performing and I've always had a crush on him. I always got excited to see him on an episode on TV. They didn't allow cameras/phones as to not distract the performers so I snagged a shot of my view from the crowd prior to starting.
I had the honor of being in another magazine called Blaze with the first few images taken prior to shooting The edge of love
While watching YouTube videos, I came across one where they were reviewing expensive foods and their reaction to these gem treats made me want to try them. Unfortunately though they are beautiful to look at, I personally didn't enjoy them.
I saw the Spy X family movie with my friend and we went to the cheesecake factory after, though even though I ordered a vegetarian friendly meal they added bacon which I just ate around.
I finally got to see Erra perform live as well as seeing other favorites like Make them suffer
I also finally got to see AlphaWolf after 2 other failed attempts and discovered a few bands I'd hadn't heard before as well.
Finally got a Leeloo Pop! My favorite movie 🎬
Unfortunately I lost another family member, one of my uncles which made the 5th family member lost over a 7 month period. I do have my moments of sadness, like on occasion if I'm driving and a funeral procession is passing, but I try to remain positive and do things to enjoy life. My corworkers got me a gorgeous bouquet of flowers that I still mostly have and may end up planting some of the same types myself.
Finally my most recent food adventure to Nori Nori with one of my friends who is moving back to South Carolina. I ate a decent amount which I'm proud of myself for. Sometimes when I'm trying to refrain from eating before going to a restaurant, that makes me eat less when I finally arrive but I definitely got my monies worth this time 👍🏾 As an added bonus I stopped by the store on a whim to get some lemonade and finally found some Mt Dew Kickstart. I haven't had any in a few years and couldn't find it in store for the longest. The only energy drink I can drink with low caffeine.
I hope everyone is enjoying their week so far and my typical photo dump updates 🤪 Until next time
Teva💋
