New blog time, and I'm actually on time with it for once instead of being a few months behind! I've had some exciting things happen this past month but I also haven't been up to too much either.
I hit 1500 followers here not too long ago which is amazing! Thank you to everyone who follows and supports me ♥ Hopefully with the next set I submit I can get at least 1k likes, though it would also be awesome if it does well enough for me to finally go Pink ;) ;) =p.
@niffler created a product page on instagram and to celebrate she held a contest to get a sample goody bag. I don't normally enter contests so I decided why not and I ended up winning! So far I've just tried the Starbucks hibiscus tea which was pretty tasty and I've used the Caress soap.
My old phone was pretty much a lemon right out of the box, I should have taken it to Verizon when I noticed but I just put it off and never went. After a year and a half I decided to get a new phone and chose the Samsung Galaxy s7 edge and I love it! No flaps to break off or plastic strips that lose their adhesive like on my previous phone. I also was able to get a 256gb memory card for free for my new phone because of a promotional offer for anyone who got a galaxy phone during a certain time frame. I thought I would miss out on it since it was close to the end date for filling out the form when I got my phone and I figured they might have run out of stock but to my surprise and delight I was able to get one. This is definitely looking like a phone that I will use for years to come until it falls apart. I'm not really one to constantly get new phones, I typically only upgrade when necessary. Like when I changed my phone plan, I was forced to get a new phone in order to get a cheaper plan because the one I was using was so old.
I was scrolling through Instagram when I saw that KatAttackPhotography would be coming to Orlando with Christy Mack as the model coach. I've always wanted to shoot with KatAttack and I've always wanted to meet Christy so I immediately jumped at the chance and shot her an email to see if she still had any spots left. She also had a contest to win a free shoot so I decided to enter it just for fun because it didn't look like there were a ton of people who could go. I ended up winning! Since I had booked a shoot prior to that I ended up getting an extra look. I left a little after 6am to make the drive to Orlando to be there by my shoot time of 2pm. I had to take a mini detour to go around construction but it was a very smooth drive with the exception of this area in Florida that always seems to be raining hard with the two times I've driven through it. I got to Orlando with a little over an hour to spare so I just waited until my time to knock on the door. The hotel was really pretty and super easy to get to which was nice. I need to shoot more, I forget how much fun it can be since I don't do it often. I'm always so worried that I will run out of pose ideas mid shoot but I've been doing well with each shoot I've had. I think I just worry to much. I move very fluidly during shoots, I also memorize pose ideas beforehand plus I'm always open to ideas from photographers but they usually just let me do my own thing. I also did a quick shot for her upcoming book the Holy Booble which will celebrate boobs of all sizes and colors. For any one interested in updates and how you can get a copy you can follow her instagram page at www.instagram.com/theholybooblebook I'm not sure how many SG's will be in her book but I know I saw @peggysue
I had planned on not getting anymore new pieces for a while but as I was walking out of the shop after getting my half sleeve touched up for the Orlando shoot with KatAttack, I noticed a sweet legend of Zelda themed tattoo and couldn't stop thinking about it. The shop I go to has a wall called "the one shot wall" where artists can put up original pieces that they would love to tattoo on someone. I called two days later to see if it was still avaliable and it was, so I got on the books to get it in November. Hopefully I can get it done either that day or around that time as the holidays are coming and I can't have a healing tattoo when I'm running all over the place and lifting heavy things. If I can't get it done before Thanksgiving then it will just have to wait until January when it slows down at work. This will be my second piece that I didn't design or help design myself. The first being a Friday 13th tattoo that I got on my foot of a heart in the shape of the number 13.
My friend threw her husband a suprise birthday dinner at Aqua Blue which was pretty cool. She made him a guitar cake that was pretty tasty. Under the fondant was a vanilla cake with chocolate frosting. The food at the restaurant was pretty good but it wasn't crowded at all. Other than a family that was having a celebration it was just us in the whole restaurant.
Last but not least I got a wonderful email from Sweet and Inked Magazine that my submission was accepted and I will be in their fall issue! My second magazine feature this year and my third total since I started submitting to magazines! Super happy! The images were also shot by Keith Selle. It would be cool if all four looks that we did were accepted to magazines but I'm happy if it's just these two. The Fall issue should be out mid October. I'm excited to see how the images I shot with KatAttack turned out so I can possibly use those for submissions when it gets warm again. I mostly shot in bikini's and lingerie.
Well that's all for now. Hopefully I won't have issues with the photo uploader with my next blog as I like having photos to go along with my updates. I hope everyone is doing well!
