Finally sitting down on my day off to work on a new blog. I originally started writing something a while back, thought I saved it, but I didn't so I have to start over again. Looking through my phone to see what all I've been up to since my last post. I usually jot down things as they happen so when I go to make a new blog I don't have to try to remember everything, but I haven't done that in a while.
Back in April I went to FWA (Furry Weekend Atlanta) again to see my childhood friend that was in town with one of his sons and fiancée. It was great getting to see them all and I also found out that they have plans to move back to Georgia and will be getting a home in Savannah. I was invited to come visit once they move which I will definitely do since I've never been. Maybe next year I'll wear a tail or ears to FWA :-p
A few weeks later I went to see Sevendust at Center Stage and had a blast.
Lots of great music and after the show, as I was walking to my car, I heard an "excuse me" so I stopped and looked and it was Lajon! I walked over and he asked me for my name then gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek and thanked me for coming out! He saw me singing in he crowd to most of their songs. I asked him if I could get a photo and he said yes so his daughter took the shot :)
I had my yearly trek to the Renaissance festival and picked up a bag of bath bombs, some elf ears for a future cosplay, and I even spotted @episkey but didn't say hi because she was surrounded by a crowd of people.
I did however pet one of the snakes before I wandered away.
The very last day of May I went to the Masquerade to see Devil you know and had one of the best times that I've ever had at the venue. I met up with a friend of mine and hung out until about 1 am before I had to head home and catch some sleep since I had to be up at 6 am. The Masquerade will be moving locations after being in the historic old fourth ward for 30 years due to all the development of the area. I know there will be a few more shows before they go but I'd like to keep that night as my last memory of the venue. I will miss them being at that location because I've had so many great times and it was my favorite venue until parking got complicated but I will check out their new location at some point. Haha, the guy in front in that photo is a security guard that was yawning. Howard Jones, the lead singer, is in the left corner :-p I also didn't take a ton of photos that night so this is one of the good ones.
I shot a set for Cosplay Deviants as Blue from Wolf's Rain but it was rejected. I'm still waiting on a response to see why to see if there is anything that can be edited differently or if it just needs to be reshot. I've heard from several people that they are very strict and sometimes reject sets because there aren't enough shots. There were 90 so I know that's not the issue. I'm assuming my hair didn't have enough volume, they didn't like the false lashes that I wore on my bottom lashes, or they just didn't like the location. I was trying to stay true to the anime but a lot of the places that I found in my searches ended up being in some not so safe areas so we shot at a place that my photographer KramerStudios suggested. The model coordinator has been doing conventions so I will probably hear back once she gets back to answering emails.
We had a team outing with my job and we all went to a ramen shop. I had a veggie ramen bowl that was pretty good.
There have been lots of changes on my job so I've been working my butt off lately to the point where I just come home, eat, and then shortly thereafter pass out until the next day. One of my coworkers decided to leave and another took a week long vacation starting on the day that said coworker left. Work loads increased as we were short staffed for a while but the owner has hired a ton of new people, three of which I have to help train and they are doing well.
Last but definitely not least, I have the honor of having my second magazine feature with Xpressions Magazine and have a 4 page spread in their August love your body artistic nude edition! www.magcloud.com/browse/issue/1144781
I'm still waiting to get my copy but here is one of the images used. I was going to post the image from above but the tear I was emailed isn't downloading to my phone properly so here is the only shot that didn't download fuzzy.
Not too much else is going on in my world at the moment. Waiting to hear back from a friend that wanted me to go with them to Halloween Horror Nights in Orlando. If I end up not going then I will probably take a longer vacation, as I previously went to Florida for the 4th of July weekend, and maybe go to some conventions and just relax before the holidays hit. Trying to work out more and get back into going to the gym a few times a week. I'm sure some of you will be happy to know that I may have the opportunity to shoot with @caustix in October. I wasn't really planning on shooting anything new until at least next year but I can't let this chance pass up as I love his work. Not sure what concept I'll go with or what I'll wear yet but I've got time to plan incase we can meet up to shoot. I would love to hear any ideas of what you all would like to see!
Well that's it for this blog update. Super happy to see that the photo uploader not only worked incredibly smooth but it also auto-rotated my images! I hope everyone is doing well! Also, thank you so much to everyone who follows/supports my work and journey to become an official SG, I just hit 1500 followers yesterday!
