I just recently had a birthday this past Wednesday, a big heartfelt thank you to everyone that took the time to tell me happy birthday and send their well wishes! I didn't celebrate or do anything special the day of other than work (which gave me a delicious cake), but I did get an early birthday present to myself the prior Sunday in the form of a cover-up tattoo.
Color and a background to finish covering my previous tattoo will be added next month. Eventually I will add a bit of staff music to it, though I’m still undecided on which song I’d like to have notes from. I was planning on going out to dinner with my sister tonight as a late celebration but I felt sick and decided to go later on in the week instead. A wonderful friend of mine sent me a gift certificate to a restaurant so I asked my sister to go with me to help me use it.
The weather has been up and down for the most part but it’s finally starting to feel like spring is coming! I’m looking forward to the warmer weather not just because I’m anemic but because my car is in need of a wash. I can’t remember the last time I washed it (whoops!). Don’t be fooled though, I take good care of my car I just prefer to hand wash it and it has been pretty cold on top of me working a lot. I just recently stopped going to my dealership, my warranty is gone so there is no reason to go with how expensive they are. My left rear wheel bearing wore out and needed replacing, my dealer wanted to charge me $608 (394 just for the part alone). I did some searching after a mechanic friend told me the best sites to use to find the best place and I found a shop that only charged me $166.
Luckily there is an awesome neighborhood mechanic that lives near me that specializes in my cars make, so hopefully he can tell me what’s going on with my electrical work that the dealership couldn't figure out.
I shot in my first studio last week and had a great time.
I've been wanting to do more modeling to expand upon my experience and to do more creative shoots so I contacted local photographer Alexander Sikwitit that I've seen a lot of hopefuls shooting with on Instagram, and we shot for his nest project that he is hoping to get published. No teasers yet but I know they will be amazing when they come, I really pushed myself to do a lot of creative poses and I’m thankful that I’m semi flexible! When we finished shooting he said a lot of kind and inspiring words that made me to decide to give Model Mayhem a try. I'd previously thought about it off and on for years because I've heard a lot of horror stories. Lately I've been trying to contact more local photographers on Zivity on top of planning more sets with one of my favorite photographers Sobootyful. Hopefully I’ll get to do a lot of outdoor shoots in cool locations. Here is a little teaser of the dress I plan on wearing with her, the coloring wasn't exactly what I expected when I ordered it but it fits wonderfully. I wanted to do an outdoor shoot in it at Botanical Garden in front of the Dale Chihuly exhibit, if its still there, but the location fees just for one hour are crazy ($200) so I will be shooting at her house instead.
Well I haven’t been taking too many selfies lately so here are some Instagram shots that some of you may be familiar with. I hope everyone is doing well!
