Wow! What a GREAT weekend!! Amazing how having a weekend off of work will do that.
Friday, no school 'cause I had to go down to Denver and recert my ACLS for work. I went to the same place that I went through Paramedic school so I knew I was gonna get to say 'Hi' to all my old teachers, which is always fun. The really nice thing is that three of the guys from my class were also there to recert their ACLS so I got to catch-up with them too!
Friday night, I went and saw "The Constant Gardener" with Dave and Jen. Great movie...REALLY depressing! Still it was fun to get out.
Saturday was great, slept until about noon, watched some TV during the day. Saturday night we went out on Pearl St. First we hit Round Midnight (one of our favorites since we know the GM). Had a good time, ran into a girl that I knew in grade school....she's still just as crazy as she was back then! And frankly, when I refuse to get involved with a gril because she's crazy...it really says something! After that, we went over to the Republic of Boulder, had some food, a little bit of mead, shot some darts. Then a girl that my friend Troy was trying to get together with showed up with her friend. We played another game of darts with them and then went and sat out on the patio so they could smoke. They decided it would be fun to play a dorky middle school game so they suggested '10 fingers' (a game that I grew up with as 'Purity'). Why is it that I always LOOSE that game?? I'm not THAT much of a slut! Well.....maybe I am...or at least adventurous!!
Sunday had to be the best day of the weekend though! I took a nice long motorcycle ride with Megze. It was an absolutely beautiful day!! Sunny and warm, without being hot. We didn't take a really long ride, just up Boulder canyon to Ned, over to Estes and back down through Loveland. Took about three hours or so, and I had a great time!! Motorcycle rides are always significantly better when you've got a gorgeous young lady riding with you! My only complaint was that we couldn't talk...I need to get an intercom system for my bike!
Unfortunately, it was back to school today, but only three more months until graduation!! I can't wait!!
