YEA!! I finally have working internet in my new place!!
So lets, catch you all (wishfull thinking!) up to speed on what's happened in the last week and a half or so.
Moved into my new house. Its amazing...right now its just me here, my one roommate is moving in this week sometime, and the other guy we just found to room with us won't move in until the end of July. So as it is, I'm alone in this giant house that is made even more lonely by the fact that there's no furniture 'cause I don't own any! But its all good!
Work has actually been more interesting the last two weeks than the previous four months combined! I worked almost the entire weekend of the 4th (Thursday, Saturday and Monday) and we totally got our asses handed to us!! Car wrecks, drownings, lightning strikes you name it!! But being busy running calls like that was a nice change of pace for me! Then I worked basicly the entirety of last weekend (44 hour shift from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning). Friday was quiet, but Saturday we ran one really messed-up call! Stupid 14 year old girl decided that the answer to her bad dreams was Xtasy and the since she was really jumpy, she should take some acid! Then, ofcourse, the only reason we got called was because she thought that someone had spiked her beer!! Now that's all fine and dandy 'cause she's awake and talking to me and cooperating (i.e. drinking the activated charcoal that I gave her), but then she fucking crashes on me and has a seizure and nearly stops breathing! Which was made all the more exciting by the fact that we were already on the road to the hospital and I had to have my partner pull over and get in back to help me! I really just don't understand kids sometimes!!
The best thing though that's happened in the last few weeks, is the GREAT date I went on last night!! Went out with my biochem girl, had a WONDERFUL time!! We went and had dinner, then played pool for a while (she kicked my ass!!) then we went back to her apartment and sat in the hot tub until a bunch of other people came and turned on the jets and we couldn't hear eachother anymore. So then we went for a nice walk around the lake near her place and chatted. It was amazing, and she's one of the kewlest people I've meet in a long time!! It was a little awkward at first, just trying to do the whole asking questions to get to know eachother, but we finally relaxed (I don't think that had ANYTHING to do with the long island iced teas!) and just talked. Turns out we basicly have very similar views on all the important stuff and lots of the little things too!! By the end of the night I think we were both really excited to get together again, and I can't wait!! We're supposed to get together Wednesday night and study biochem so we'll see how it goes!! The only thing even close to bad about the night was the fact that she was coming down with a cold.
So yea....life is pretty damn good right now!!
EDIT: Oh yea, I got an A in sex class!! Like there was ever any doubt!

glad to hear your date went well! really good conversations with a new person you're excited about are the best...all tingly feeling and such.
hopefully she doesn't decide she needs to join the marines in the midst of her schooling.
