Well...I just spent the last three hours reading through all of my old blog posts...ALL of them! I forget sometimes that I've been on here for nearly five years! Damn a lot has changed! Then again, a lot hasn't changed either! Generally, I laughed at myself a lot. Had to pause a number of times to think and figure out who a couple of people I was referring to in posts were...still have no idea about one girl I mentioned! Good times...I sorta miss my old life right now...
But on to my current life...
That leg injury I got in the rugby match a few weeks ago wound up being a little more serious than I first thought. Monday night the pain actually started getting worse, and kept me awake. I went in Friday finally to have it looked at. Its just a bunch of blood from the bruised thigh collecting around my knee, but its rather painful, and the doc was worried that I might injure my meniscus if I ran on it...so no rugby at the tournament this weekend. Which was ok...I'm a little fed up with one of our coaches, and I think I needed a short break. I'm gonna stay out all of this week, and go back next week so I can play in our last game of the season in two weeks. I'm not really sure what I'm going to do when the season is over. I'm sure they'll be playing touch on the beach, but I'm not THAT big a fan of touch. I hear 7s will be starting up, which will probably be what I do.
I never did call that girl from the bar...which is fine, I'm not sure I was really all that interested anyway. I've been a bit lonely this last week, which always sucks, but I'm staying busy. I've been studying my ass off 'cause a friend is coming into town this weekend and I want to be able to spend time with her (another reason why taking the week off of rugby sounded like a good plan!). It means I'm going insane trying to keep focused...hopefully its worth it! Also, a girl I grew up with (like diapers!) called me the other day! Our parents ran into eachother back in December, and I guess she moved to Miami a while back. So our parents gave us eachother's phone numbers. I had meant to call her, but hadn't gotten around to it yet, and then she called me. I was in class at the time, so she left me a voicemail, and I called her back the next day, but I haven't heard back from her yet. If I don't hear from her by next week I'll send her a text. Its sorta strange 'cause I haven't seen her in like...20 years probably! I'm certain I wouldn't recognize her! But I think it'd be cool to catch up with her, and see where our lives have taken us!
In other news...one of the guy from the rugby team told me that Flogging Molly is playing in Pompano Friday, so I think I might go. I've never seen them live, so I'm hoping for a good time! Speaking of concerts....Blue October is playing in both St. Pete's and Orlando in April...I sorta want to go, but no one here seems to like that kind of music and I don't feel like going to any more concerts alone!
School kinda sucks! I pulled my head out of my ass last week and did fine on our exam, and I'm pretty sure I did alright on our exam yesterday. I'm just getting real sick of all the BS science classes and the non-stop pace! I'm trying to organize a couple of events, and they're starting to get close, but I still don't have enough people to make it work! I've never exactly been great at getting things to happen. Whenever I'd throw a party, I'd have like three people show up...I think I'm just not very charismatic. Normally that wouldn't be a problem...in fact I'd probably be happy about it! But in this case...it makes it hard! Also, since I'm trying/hoping to get elected as the emergency medicine club president for next year...need to be a little charismatic! Oh well...
I guess this would be my third recent blog post...which I guess means I could apply to join the SGFL group...but I'm still not sure....anyone want to voice any opinions on the matter?
