I guess its time for another update here...
I guess its been kinda a long time since my last post, but it seems like not much has changed. Thats not to say that things are boring or anything. In fact I'm really enjoying my life right now, it just seems like there's been a lot of the same happenning.
Eponine and I just got back from spending four days in Steamboat Springs with my good friend up there. We had an AMAZING time!! We got to play Final Fantasy XII, which is fucking awsome!! I also was given FFXII for my birthday by my friend, so we can play it at my place now! YEA!! We watched FFVII: Advent Children while we were up there, it reminded me how much I LOVED that game, and I REALLY wish I could afford a PS3 so I can play the re-release...oh well, I've gotta get through 12 first! We had such a good time, we're gonna try to go back the first week of January!
The girl and I have also been planning a vacation to, get this, Belize!! We're gonna go with another couple who are good friends of mine and just got engaged. We were initially planning to go in March, but decided that we needed more time to save $$ and we are putting it off until May, which will also put us in the off-season and make it a bit more affordable and less crowded. We're gonna go scuba diving, but I'm the only one who already has a scuba cert, so everyone else will have to take the class. I can't wait!! I haven't been diving since 1999, and I REALLY want to get back into it...not that I need another expensive hobby!
I just have to say...I'm really quite fond of this girl I seem so spend all my free time with! We really are spending a lot of time together, much to her sisters dismay! I'm just really happy that we both seem to still enjoy being around eachother. We just spent four whole days together, and now we're going to spend another day together!
In other news...January 29th I'll be taking the MCATs for the first time. The idea is that I'll take the exam in January and if I don't like my score, I still have time to study more and improve for the exam in April. I've been studying bit-by-bit at work, but I'll be cracking down after Christmas and doing very little else between then and the exam on my time down. I'll also be taking my whole four-day before the exam and going to Steamboat alone to study, and be taken care of (i.e. I won't have to worry about food). I'm also gonna start shadowing a DO in Ft. Collins a few days a month so that I can get a good recommendation from him. I figure early this summer I'll start getting secondary applications for schools, and then next fall will be filled with interviews, which means lots of travel! I think that I have my list narrowed down (in order of preference): University of Maryland Baltimore, George Washington University D.C., Michigan State University School of Osteopatic Medicine Lansing, Philidelphia School of Osteopathc Medicine, University of Colorado Health Sciences. I will at least be applying to those schools, but I MAY apply to a couple more osteopathic schools as well including some in CA, AZ, TX and IA (although I'd rather not goto Texas or Iowa!)
This is currently my life...I'm sure there's something else, but I really can't think of it...We need to do another Halo day...I just need to figure out when I have time for it...and I need to find another Xbox and copy of Halo 2.
