OK, so I'm done having my EMO moment!
Thanks to DanielK and Angeluca for their concern. For everyone who just didn't say anything, I'm fine. I had a moment of being a complete idiot and then I suffered for it.
Anyway, right now I'm up in Steamboat visiting with my good friend Ann. I LOVE being in Steamboat, its such a beautiful area. I went fishing with Ann's partner Liz last night, unfortunately it was a little late and we lost light real fast so I couldn't see anything!
I've got a defninate date for when I leave for Seattle. We're gonna leave Boulder on the 1st and stay in Twin Falls, ID that night. Then we'll push through to Tacoma the next day (that's where the sis goes to school). I'm hoping that while I'm up there I can get out a little and I'm also hoping to go fishing before I have to leave on the 5th.
So I started talking to an old friend from my Chem class at CU who just started her first year of med school at CU. She gave me a load of advice on how to study for the MCAT, so now I'm getting started on that. I realized that the timetable for med school is not exactly what I thought. The earliest I can plan on starting is the Fall of 2008 (since the August MCAT was Saturday and they only offer it twice a year, plus you have apps and interviews AFTER the MCAT). Right now I think I have my school list pretty set. My top choices are:
Traditional Med Schools:
University of Maryland Baltimore
George Washington University, DC
University of Colorado Health Sciences Center
Osteopathic Schools:
Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine (those first two are swaping back and forth as first choice)
and then I think Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine would be my third choice...but I'm not certain about this.
Work continues to continue. I'm gonna have a new permanent partner in September. She used to work in Northglenn with me, but I never really actually worked WITH her. The few interactions I had with her I didn't really liker her though. But I worked with her all day Saturday and it seemed to go really well, so I guess we'll see what happens.
On a final note, thanks to Hugodwarf for this:
***You Are Guinness***
You know beer well, and you'll only drink the best beers in the world.
Watered down beers disgust you, as do the people who drink them.
When you drink, you tend to become a bit of a know it all - especially about subjects you don't know well.
But your friends tolerate your drunken ways, because you introduce them to the best beers around.
