She's calling a cab while he's having a smoke
And she's taking a drag; now they're going to bed
And my stomach is sick, and its all in my head
But she's touching his
chest now
He takes off her dress now
Let me go
And I just can't look: its killing me and taking control
-The Killers
Hey I bought the above CD this weekend, even though I had suspected it would be a little too poppy; it's completely growing on me in that suicidal/psychedelic/JohnnyRotten sort of way. I will probably find song lyrics to fit every journal entry mood this week. This excerpt may not fit the entry below, but it's totally on my wavelength right now. Jealousy can only occur when you open your heart; thank god I bought a padlock.
Weekend was same ol', same ol': went to a fabulous all-lesbian party (I know what you're asking, and I did just fine, thanks) last night that had started at 1:00 and went until dawn the next day. I arrived at 7:00 when everyone was already 3 sheets to the wind, tried to catch up by chugging Coors Light, but then resorted to water (since there really is no difference!). A night of spontaneous nakedness, swim games, barbeque, and sexual tension... like I said, nothing new. Friday my escort to the Swill Merchants show bailed on me after having a scare with a probable DUI the evening before, so I played cards with the girls and drank heavily. My refrigerator is almost empty of liquor and I am wired but lucid.
A friend of mine called today and asked if wanted to move down to New Jersey. She is already down there, now is looking at Rutgers Law School for next fall, and thought it might be amazing if we attended together. Hmmmm I suppose it's an option. When I mentioned to my parents over lunch today that I plan to relocate out of New England next summer, my father piped up with "Just don't move to California! It's going to fall into the ocean soon" or something equally prophetic and senile. Meanwhile the Fantastic Four of summer (me and three women from my class) are planning a reunion this fall in Vegas, probably for Columbus Day weekend. As a back-up plan we might go to Atlantic City, but have you ever heard anyone say, "What happens in Atlantic City, stays in Atlantic City?" Nope, me neither, and with the four of us, it will be a weekend for the heathens.
Any suggestions on other destinations within the US for us to meet? We are at the four corners of the country, so all 48 states are in play.
